About a week or two ago I was talking to Philty11 on the phone. I was in the process of editing the Pentastoma video recording with Paul Evers that Philty11 had kindly provided to me a few weeks earlier. Paul and I were making a sleeve and adding menus to the DVD, to make it easier to navigate through the video. I wanted to know from Philty11 if there were any persons that needed to be credited on the sleeve. He told me that the recording originally came thruogh a trading network with Swiss links, but he didn't know the original source. He also assumed that the audio signal of the mixing board was added to the video signal, since he couldn't imagine the quality of the camera microphone to be good enough to reach the level on the Pentastoma DVD. Philty11's track record include bands called Eternal Solstice, Xerpentor and Dissect that were recorded on video on several occasions, so I assume he knows about this stuff.

I don't.

There was something else Philty11 knew as well... He was present on the Bodine concert in "Over de Brug" in Gouda on 1982-06-12 and remembers that this gig was recorded on video too!!! Contrary to the Pentastoma recording, which can be found on the internet using Google quite well, the Gouda gig is very rare. According to Philty11, the quality of the recording should be even better than the Pentastoma recording. Philty11 once contacted someone through a trading network who owns a copy of the "Over De Brug" recording but - sad enough - this guy is no longer interested in trading. So all current and past Bodinists are hereby called upon to embark on a quest to unravel the mystery of the Gouda recording! It's a real missing link, because it could be the only recording available of th Mk-II line up. Hopefully this gig will surface some time in the future. I'm having sleepless nights over the fact that the original tape might be knocking about somewhere without anyone knowing!!
Never argue with a fool. People may not know the difference
