O N E   Y E A R   O N L I N E

28 November 2011: The past weekend marked the FIRST ANNIVERSARY of the Bodine tribute site! Making a website turns out to be quite a challenge. Keeping the site updated, making it interactive and improving the design turns out to be more than a handful, but giving access to the musical heritage of Bodine on the internet is a mission worth to pursue!
Without paying an extra dime, regularrocker.nl made it to the top 6 of Google search results for 'Bodine'! And this site reached the 19,000-pageview barrier--not in the least through the invaluable and spontaneous contributions from the visitors.
THANKS so much to all of you! (A HALL OF FAME is in the making!)

Eye-witness interview

1981-11 Bodine Fanmagazine 001 (EN)21 November 2011: THE FIRST ISSUE of the BODINE Fan Magazine is republished on Regularrocker! 30 Years ago, two enthusiasts edited a fan magazine for Bodine, which is now made public once again (Dutch / English). This gave rise to starting a section on the Bodine Fan Clup here on regularrocker.nl, including an interview with initiator Han Hijzelendoorn and fan mail (22 letters) from all over the world!!
This republication also marks the first anniversary of Regular Rocker online!

THE VOICES of BODINE!

Alfred LagardeAlfred Lagarde © Veronica17 November 2011: After Bodine's debut album was released in February 1981, Alfred Lagarde was quick to invite the band to be guests on his radio show, VARA's Betonuur. All band members were present. It's the first time in the history of internet that the illustrous quartet can be heard speaking again! The interview is purling and spontaneous.
Rheno, when asked about his musical influences: "Jimi Hendrix? Who's that?"
Gerard, about the meaning of Bodinism: "We're all descendants of the Indian guru Swie Bodine..."
Jay, about the song writing process: "We use to rehearse our songs in a rat hole..."
Armand, about Krokus:"Blurrrgh!"
The (edited) radio broadcast is most likely dated 5 March 1981 and can be heard here!

Thanks to Han Hijzelendoorn and Paul Evers of Time is Running Productions!
