1984-03-30 Krogt-sclick to enlarge18-12-2015: Since everything over a handful is wasted, Regular rocker kept a mysterious afterburner of Marcel Ebbelaar's Autograph Card posted a few months ago. Apart from a shoe print, it reads that the venue 't Krogt had been burglared prior to the concert. The damage added up to 3,000.- guilders in missing appliances and 1,000.- in necessary repairs. As a gesture of charity, the bands listed for that day agreed to play for free, so that all the ticket revenues could be used as a down payment on new gear. Ain't that sympathetic?

Moreover, it turns out that it was a festival with 6 bands and Bodine was listed as (this is where the mystery starts) Axel Langemeyer, Jeronimo and Arjen Lucassen--supported by "Fast Bas" on the drums.

Fast WHO?

Fast Bas.

Another unique relic from Bodine's Mk-IV heydays (which didn't last too long), delivered to Regular Rocker by no one other than Jeronimo! 1983-03 Bodine Loudness Magazine-tnBodine live in Sneek3 February 2015: Martin 'Stunning' Stassen never ceases to surprise Bodine followers with freshly unearthed scoops. This one's still mouldy from the soil it was buried in: Bodine performed live on Friday 18 February 1983 at 't Bolwerk in Sneek, Friesland. Metal fanmagazine Loudness reported on the gig that Bodine held for about 100 metal fans (English version here, international Bodinist!). Since no other announcements on this gig were found in any other magazines, we must assume that the gig was a last-minute arrangement.

This revelation, again, brings about more

Facebook contact leads to another sensational discovery

TBF 20149 July 2014: Egbert Berenst is a busy metal head who organises the Taken By Force Metalfest. This year's edition will take place on 4 October (check out the bill on the right). He contacted Regular Rocker with an interesting mail through facebook: "I have converted three songs from tape to mp3. They're from the Heipop Festival in Bussum. I know two titles, but I don't recognise the third one. Where can I send them to?"

Did you read that? Make sure, read again:

"I know two titles, but I don't recognise the third one."

And again:

"I know two titles, but I don't recognise the third one."

Bodine Mk-I performed at Heipop in Bussum on 27 June 1981, a festival that also hosted Dr. Feelgood and Dexy's Midnight Runners, as sources on internet seem to suggest. Later that day, Bodine performed on stage at De Kasbah in Maarssen. For economic reasons it wasn't uncommon in those days for bands to do two concerts on one day. With the fees they earned they simply had to. Long story short:...
